Editorial policy

Sources

We work from primary sources wherever possible: official product blogs, developer release notes and help-center announcements. When another publication breaks a story first, we credit and link to it. We read public feeds that publishers make available and respect sites that ask automated readers to stay away.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to monitor sources, group related reports, write the short summaries in our news feed, and prepare first drafts of articles. No article is published automatically. Every article is checked against its sources, edited, and given an expert take by our editor, who is accountable for what we publish.

Expert analysis

Each article carries a take from Thomas Eccel based on hands-on experience managing advertising accounts. Opinions are labelled as such and kept separate from the reporting.

Accuracy checks before publication

Before an article goes live, our editor checks every claim against its sources, verifies names, numbers, dates and quotes, and confirms that anything unconfirmed is labelled as such. Automated checks also flag missing sources, broken links, overlong quotes and text that matches a source too closely. Reports based only on social media posts are labelled as unconfirmed until an official source confirms them.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and add a dated note in a "Corrections" box at the end of the article, so readers can see what changed. Minor fixes such as typos are made without a note.

To report an error, email [email protected] with the article link and what you believe is wrong. We review every request. If you are personally affected by inaccurate information, you can also exercise your right of rectification under Spanish Organic Law 2/1984: send it within seven days of publication, and we will publish the rectification within three days of receiving it, with the same prominence as the original information.

Independence

The PPC Times is independent and is not affiliated with Google, OpenAI, Meta, Microsoft or any other ad platform. Sponsored content, if we ever run it, will always be clearly labelled.
